World Cup Begins Ticket Sales

Today South Africa and FIFA finally opened their doors and allowed South Africans only to buy tickets for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, the single largest event in soccer. The lines were staggering, and some people had to wait so long in line, they acually died. Literally. One individual was in line for so long that he had a heart attack and died, as ridiculous as that may sound. FIFA has had worries that they wouldn't be able to sell enough tickets to the first World Cup in Africa, but that concern seems to have died down momentarilly, as over 1610 tickets were bought within the first hour of opening, and take in mind that only South Africans were able to access them- foreigners will not be able to purchase the tickets until 1600 GMT. The World Cup is promising to be the largest event in the summer, and by far the largest sporting event in all of Africa's history.
