New Cancer Treatment

After decades of intensive research and experimentation, there is finally a vaccine- even though it treats disease instead of preventing it- that uses the body's immune system to fight the tumors themselves. This is a huge milestone, because instead of having to surgically remove the tumor, the body itself can fight it off over a long period of time. This treatment is still in the experimental stage, but it has been approved by the FDA and promises to make the battle against cancer much easier to win.
