The Most Dangerous Drug

The drug scopolamine, which grows wild in the forests of Colombia, has been confirmed to alter chemical patterns in the human mind, essentially keeping the person completely aware and conscious of all the actions that one is doing, except for the fact that if exposed to the drug, one loses his free will. Yes- you literally have no free will and are at the mercy of anyone that asks you to do anything. To anyone looking at an individual under the influence of this drug, the affected would seem perfectly normal and sane, which makes it extremely hard to detect. The only noticable side effect is the total loss of recollection of any event that occured after having been exposed to the drug.

I don't know about you, but to me this not only sounds pretty amazing, but it is pretty scary. Imagine having someone or being under someone's complete control, and then not even remembering about it-that's scary. The worst part is that one could get exposed to the drug very easily, as it only takes a small amount of powder inhalation to be under its effects. So effectively, someone can walk up to you in the middle of the street, blow a tiny amount of the drug into your face, and then walk off with you and do God knows what... There have been cases in which people wake up to find that they are missing an organ and are bleeding from an open wound, or others wake up hundreds of miles from home, with no way of going back. Imagine the posibilities and dangers... its almost like something from the movies. What do you think about this drug?

  1. This definitely sounds scary! It's crazy how such a little amount of this drug can cause you to lose control of your body and have you not remember a thing.

  2. Thats crazy I have heard about the discovery of this drug and i was absolutely stunned and amazed. This drug will completely alter the criminal world. It will horribly become the worlds next date rape drug.I think that allowing this drug to spread is extremely dangerous and could eventually lead to an outbreak of several forms of problems around the world.
However it could be a useful tactic for law enforcement in order to attain confessions although I think that it will be labeled as unconstitutional.

  3. The idea of a drug like this is very frightening. I feel that if it is distributed it could be the catastrophic. It is like a brainwash drug. You can get people to do whatever you want them to do. But, do the people know that what they are doing is wrong? Or are they just aware of the fact that they are doing something? Either way though, this discovery is bad for other countries in Colombia's way because it could be used to get virtually anything that they desire accomplished. I wish I could get more information so that I can see how it works exactly on its subjects.
